that, for someone in need
i want to do something about homelessness.
while i was living in new york, i met a man named tom on my daily lunch route. he was sitting on the sidewalk with a paper cup in front of him, asking for money from anyone that would acknowledge him. since i was getting food, i asked if he would like to join me for a meal. he happily accepted, and we got to know each other over a few slices of pizza.
tom would often show up at the same spot, and i always looked forward to bumping into him and sharing a meal with him. but one day, without any notice, tom stopped showing up and i never heard from him again.
inspired to help people like tom, our mission is to design simple home goods (this) to support charities providing basic needs (that). our first collection is a dinnerware set designed to support coalition for the homeless in new york city make daily meals accessible to the homeless and anyone else in need.
i hope you support the cause, whether through purchasing our products, supporting non-profits, or working directly working with those who do not have access to basic needs.
